Macchiato

The Macchiato word means “marked” or “stained” and in its traditional form, is an espresso with a dash of milk and foam.

There are two main variations of the Macchiato:

2- The modern variation called “Latte Macchiato” which combines an espresso with steamed milk. In the past decade, the Caramel Macchiato became a popular drink with some bigger coffee chains. This is mainly a modern type macchiato with caramel syrup on top of the milk foam.
