Americano is an espresso based drink diluted with water.

Workflow
Brew ratio: The ratio between espresso and water is 1:3-5.

Expert tip: There are different ways of introducing the water to the espresso. This is mainly for aesthetics and not for taste. When the water is introduced to the coffee, the water should not be boiling anymore. Anything below 90 degrees celsius is should be good.
